All Things Possible?

Life gets busy. We have a lot on our to do lists. #ALLTHETHINGS
When we hear a verse like “With man it is impossible, but not with God. For all things are possible with God.” We might be inclined to think we can get it all done we just need a little help.

I have seen this verse on work out T shirts. I have heard people quote this verse when they talk about getting a job. I have used this verse when I think about my inability to parent my own children. All of those things are good things we do. We move our bodies. We work to get the promotion. We put in the long hours, days, and years it takes to shape a child.

Those are all good things.

Those are all things we are called to do yet this verse has little to do with the amount of weight we bench press. This verse has little to do with a job promotion. This verse has little to do with what our children end up like.

This verse is telling us that we can’t balance our lives out. We may want to be like the rich young ruler and give Jesus a list of all the things we do but Jesus will just point our where we are lacking. He will point our where we are lacking and then draw us to himself.

He will tell us that it is impossible for us to balance out our lives to make ourselves all right. It is impossible for us to create some sort of righteousness within ourselves yet there is still hope. We won’t be able to balance all the things to get out bumbling camel bodies into the kingdom of God but Jesus will get us there.

“Children, how difficult it is to enter the kingdom of God. It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God. And they were exceedingly astonished, and said to him, ‘Then who can be saved?’ Jesus looked at them and said ‘With man it is impossible, but not with God, For all things are possible with God.”

Wanna look at balance and righteousness and all the things we do a little more with me? Send me a message with your email and I will send you the posts each day (4 per week) starting April 28th or find it all on the Facebook page.
