Two weekends ago I was invited into a lovely group of women. I am so thankful for each and everyone one of them. They shared with me and with one another so much about what roads they have walked. The beautiful things they shared were not always the roads. We all walk rocky, dark, and difficult roads at times. The beauty was when we pointed out to one another where Jesus was and always had been on their roads.
This is one of my favorite things to do. I adore gathering together with other women to point one another to Christ.
The only sustainable way to empower women is with the fierce love of Jesus. We can’t do it all on our own. What we can do is encourage one another to walk in the freedom we have because of all Christ has done for us. And we can equip one other to see all the places Jesus shows up in our lives and in the scripture. After all it is all about Him.
